En route to the ISS, the last ATV-5 will be the last but not quite …

Yesterday, the Ariane 5 launcher orbited the ATV-5 Georges Lemaître, the automatic vehicle that will, by itself, make up the International Space Station, without any human help. http://enjoycoloring.com/transportation/ For this final mission of an ATV, astronaut Clervoy takes stock of this European program autonomous cargo. Advanced technologies, and unique in the world, which have been developed, used for other adventures, beginning with that of the future Orion-MPCV NASA, or the Mars Sample Return.

While ATV-5 Georges Lemaître , after successful launch , en route to the International Space Station (ISS) to the supply, the European Space Agency ( Esa ) and the consortium of European industries of space systems that have participated in this program and grouped under the leadership of Airbus Space, we leave a legacy. Since its first mission in March 2008, the ATV will have played a key role in the logistics of the ISS. Of all the vehicles that refuel, this is the one that has the largest payload of cargo so that it can carry both dry and liquid cargo, including propellants that can raise the orbit Station.
